Names of the Kachinas and the meaning behind them
Ha Haie - Mother of Kachinas, first doll given to a Hopi female.
Sohoentaka - Ancient Kachina, warrior maiden helps protect the village.
Prickly Pear - Represents the prickly pear cactus, also rain a good health.
I'she - Mustard green Kachina. Mustard green is a plant grown on Hopi, used as a medicine to cure illness.
Dawa - Sun Kachina, represents life, for it gives live, plants, animals and good harmony.
Badger - Medicine man Kachina, helps healing with whatever illness you may have, also purify and gives long life, carries bear root, which is the medicine it gives to the people.
Two Horn - A strong representation of water, clouds, brings rain and moisture, and good harmony and life, is a very important Kachina.
